I may be able to effect significant improvements to the set-up of your instrument for as little as £10, but the level of set-up appropriate will depend upon the quality of the instrument, and what you hope to achieve.

To achieve the optimum performance attention may be required, for example, to the top nut, the saddle, and the neck. If the frets are not level then additional work may be needed in flatting, re-crowning and dressing the frets, or in fret replacement as appropriate.

The following list of prices is given for guidance only as each job will need to be assessed on its particular merits.

	Re-string per string (excluding the price of the strings)	£3.00
	Adjust slots/shape existing plastic top nut	£10.00
	Adjust slots/shape existing bone top nut	£20.00
	New plastic top nut	£20.00
	New bone top nut	£40.00
	Adjust/shape existing bridge or saddle	£10.00
	New banjo bridge	£20.00
	Flat and dress frets	£60.00
	Re-fret	£100.00
	Vellum banjo/ukulele head	£70.00

These prices include materials and labour.

I base my charges for other work on a rate of £20 per hour.
